Dragon ballz is one of the most popular cartoons of all times (at least to me), it's characters, names, and setting are unique, it so good it has got no clische's in it. It is real action mixed with a lot of jokes.
It is about the z-warriors who keep on protecting the earth from all sorts of perils, they are actually after the dragon balls, (hence comes the name). The dragon balls are seven special balls which have the power to grant wishes by summoning the power of the balls they can call fort a spirit(named shenlong), which is strong and can grant wishes. Every planet has the balls , which is made by the planets god (in spanish: kaio-sama). If the planet's god dies the balls turn to stone and become useless. following the legend of the balls Goku and his friend saiyans have met formidable enemies.
The saiyans are the strongest race in the universe, when they get immensely strong they turn into super-saiyans, a super-saiyan has different stages Their powers are not limited and as the power increases their appearance also changes, They also have tails which grant them access to turn into monkeys under the full moon but when they loose their tail they loose the access to power and don't turn anymore. But on Super-saiyan4 the power in them is so much (in Goku's case) that he transforms into a monkey without his tail but by controling his transformation he was able to stay human, with the power also.
